We at S. B. Farms believe in careful selection of bison entering the breeding herd.

We have purposely selected top of the line heifers from nationally recognized herds in the United States.  Many were prizewinning entries in the premiere Show and Sale in the East.

A diversified bloodline has been assured by purchasing from seven herds and by allowing no inbreeding.

The herd is people acclimated, but not tame.  The bison are left to graze contentedly on the pastures and are handled only twice a year.

S. B. Farms maintains herd health using a vet-designed and administrated program. All bison are thoroughly tested before entering the breeding herd.
